Personal Favor

Hello.

In July my Mother was diagnosed with Glioblastoma Brain Tumor/Cancer. She was getting ready to retire in September and take a cruise to Alaska. This diagnosis speeded up her retirement date, but she is currently on the cruise and enjoying the beauty of Alaska.

The week after she got the diagnosis the Neurosurgeon was able to remove about 90% of the tumor removed, which is excellent.  She has completed the 1st round of radiation and chemotherapy with very little side effects.  She is counting on being part of the 5 year survivor club and I have no doubt she will do it.

Most of you don’t know her, but I get my outlook, humor and good looks from her (ok, maybe not the looks). She has always been there for me and is my ROCK. She raised Brian and I pretty much on her own. She is pretty amazing.

I am walking in the Seattle Brain Cancer Walk on September 24 2011 to help raise money for Brain Cancer Research.  The team is called Whitfields Helping Hands – Team Marilyn and we have a goal of raising $2150. If you would like to walk with us please click the Join Us at the Seattle Brain Cancer Walk link if you can’t join us, but would like to contribute to the cause please click on Donate to Support Us! Link.

Please email or call me with questions and thank you for your prayers, thoughts and support.

Focus on the Positive!
